My name is Pantelis, and my love for travel began when I was a young boy, listening to my relatives—who were sailors—share stories about distant ports, diverse people, and vibrant cultures. As I grew up, I followed in their footsteps. I became a seafarer, now a ship captain, and I travel all over the world,.
At the same time, I started traveling on two wheels, combining motorcycling and camping, which taught me to be happy and enjoy the small moments. My first experience with a camper van was in Scotland. That is where I fell in love with it. Not just the vehicle, but what it allows you to do: to go wherever you want, stay as long as you want, and wake up with a view that changes every day. Now I travel by any means—motorcycle, camper van, plane, whatever comes up.
The name "Mikri Arktos" (Ursa Minor) is not accidental. It is a constellation, and at its tail lies the North Star, one of the stars that we sailors use to find our way. That is also how my first van got its name. A small Nissan NV200 that took me all the way to Norway, above the Arctic Circle!
I started building my own vans as a hobby, with a dream to develop it into something more. I believe that the freedom of travel belongs to everyone and that anyone can enjoy vanlife, even on a low budget.
